PERFORMANCES
BIG SHOW
At SADPA, we believe that performing is just as important as training, and we provide our students with extensive opportunities to experience the thrill of the stage. Every two years, we bring our entire dance family together for The Big Show - a spectacular event at The Regent, Ipswich that celebrates the dedication, talent and hard work of every student, from our youngest dancers to our most advanced performers. It’s a truly momentous occasion and a highlight of the SADPA calendar, creating memories that last a lifetime.
Suffolk Academy Performers
Suffolk Academy Performers (SAP) is our dedicated performance group, who sing, dance and act. Being part of Suffolk Academy Performers gives students the opportunity to challenge themselves, experience the thrill of working like a professional cast and take their passion for performing to the next level.
Showcases
In addition to our Big Shows, we aim to hold one or two smaller showcases each year. These events give students of all levels the chance to perform on a stage, complete with professional lighting, sound and stage setups, allowing them to experience the full magic of a live performance. Showcases provide a more relaxed environment to celebrate achievements while giving parents, guardians and loved ones the opportunity to see the progress students have made throughout their classes. It’s a chance for students to enjoy the thrill of performing in front of a supportive audience while gaining confidence and stage experience in a professional setting.
Show and Share SESSIONS
We also love giving families a window into their child’s dance journey with our Show and Share Sessions. A special day in the calendar where parents and guardians are invited to watch their students in action in their class.
COMMUNITY PERFORMANCES
Beyond our Big Show, our students regularly perform at local events, including school fetes, community fun days and charity performances. These experiences give them the confidence to perform in front of a live audience, connect with their community and share the joy of dance with people of all ages.
ICONIC STAGES
Many of our dancers have also had the incredible opportunity to perform on some of the world’s most iconic stages. From the grandeur of the Royal Albert Hall to the magic of Disneyland Paris, and from the historic Sadler’s Wells Theatre to Her Majesty’s Theatre in London, our students have shared the stage with professional companies and even worked alongside big-name stars. These unforgettable experiences not only inspire our dancers but also give their families moments of pride and wonder that they will treasure forever.
